Scout and Ellie, The Birthday Party

How do you have the best birthday party of your life? Ask Ellie for help. And that is exactly what Scout is going to do. Except that, letting that giant elephant take charge can be either wildly fun or incredibly dangerous.

Scout, the boy with the elephant living in his backyard, is about to take the risk. From alligator wrestling to pan-throwing temper tantrums, every day with Ellie is an adventure. Watch out! If you attend this party, you may end up in a pool of cakes and chocolates.

After reading this book. you may never look at another birthday party in the same way. You could start thinking in a huge, elephant sized, new idea kind of way. That's what often happens when you hang out with wild elephants.

Scout and Ellie, The Beauty Pageant

Ellie is back with winning on her mind. If you get in her way, watch out for a stampede of chaos. Scout knows this. He has been corralled into helping her get ready for the Miss Dainty Flower Beauty Pageant.

A fire hydrant dance, picking flowers, and swimming in a fountain all sound like safe, peaceful activities, right? Not when they involve Ellie. She can turn anything into wild excitement. Scout may complain, but he always seems to enjoy himself in the end.

Come be a part of the audience with Scout, the boy with the elephant living in his backyard. Because you will never see a contest wind up this fun as when Ellie is on the stage.

Scout and Ellie, The Giraffe Next Door

An elephant and a giraffe dating? Only Ellie could think up this kind of crazy. But it is the giraffe who is paying Scout to help him win over the huge pachyderm heart. An animal has to be a bit quirky to want to date Ellie.

Not only is Scout helping with the love gunk, he is being stampeded into their circus act. How does he get into these messes? Will he live long enough to eat more cotton candy? He's got to be one strong kid to climb his way out of this one.

Join the boy with the elephant living in his backyard do the impossible: bring together two spirited forces. Both think so highly of themselves, how can they come together without killing each other? Or at least anyone who gets in their way--namely Scout.

Scout and Ellie, Our Haunted House

Ellie is determined to scare the neighborhood, and Scout is desperate to hide his fear of all things creepy. Two ways of celebrating Halloween. How do the boy and the elephant living in his backyard do both at once? With a haunted house, of course.

Scout and Ellie are out to terrorize their friends. The entire Miller family is part of the night's performance. But don't think all will be as smooth as a snake. Ellie is sure to cause some kind of panic before the evening of fear is over.

Find out how much can go wrong when Ellie is part of the horrifying fun. But beware, there are many goblins, vampires and even a zombie in this adventure. Be ready to be brave, remain calm, and romp through a graveyard. It's the only way to be when Ellie is turning a family home into a haunted house.

Ellie has decided to become Santa Claus. She has brought on reindeer, a friend of Santa, and made her red and white holiday suit. The only thing she needs now is a helper. Guess who that will be. Scout, of course, whether he likes it or not.

But sheesh, poor Scout. He doesn't even believe that Santa exists. How does he help turn an elephant in to a non-existent, made up character? That kid can't win, but he can have fun trying anyway.

Once again, the boy with the elephant living in his backyard is being herded into an adventure that is as big as a pachyderm. There is even a circus performance to add to the madness.

Be sure to watch the skies for a flying elephant. Who knows, could happen, right?

Big Dog Troubles

World's Biggest Dogs!

Check out these huge hounds. Scout's little sister, Amy, is ready to ride on the back of them. Which one would you like to take home? Which one would you like to have to pick up the doggie poop from? I don't think I want to make a pet out of any of them. But, they are awesome to see.

Flying Elephants

Ellie has decided that she wants to be Dumbo for Halloween. And guess why? She thinks then she will be able to fly!

Sheesh, that elephant is insane. I tried to tell her that her butt is too big, and her ears are too small to fly with. And what did she do with my logical reasoning ability? She threw me into the swimming pool.

"See, even you can fly," said my little sister Amy.

How do I put up with that crazy elephant living in my back yard? If I had one nerve left in my entire body, she would manage to stomp on it.

Ellie thinks she should be flying a hover board.  I mean, seriously, how does an elephant expect to fly? Her butt is way too big to ever get off the ground. Watch this video and see what I mean.
Sheesh, some animals can be wild in their thinking.
Like right now, she has me helping her to be Santa. And yes, I know that The Claus guy is a myth. But she doesn't. When Matt tried to tell Ellie that Santa is not real, he was nearly drowned to death.
Just thinking of what I am going through with that elephant living in my backyard has got me all upset and wired. I'd better go eat some deep-fried marshmallows dipped in syrup so that I feel better. Nothing like severe junk food to keep my spirit healthy.
Sincerely, Scout

Watching baby elephants while eating peanuts is more fun for Ellie than doing cannonballs into our pool. I'm serious! That elephant has not been swimming once since she discovered this video. Sheesh, you'd think splashing, muddy babies werecute or something:

Ellie has spent the entire morning watching how things look being blown up SLOWLY! That elephant is so weird. Sheesh, I mean, it is cool to watch, but doesn't she have anything else to do. Here is the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E2a3MhdsdMU
